Cape Cod has long been known for it's beautiful beaches, the National Seashore and outdoor showers to name a few. The mid Cape Highway runs through the Cape and has had iconic exit numbers 1 through 12. That is up until recently. Someone thought it would be a great idea to change all those exit numbers. Now even the locals are having a hard time with the new exit numbers which are based on mile markers. To add to the confusion let’s all agree that Cape Cod begins when you cross the Cape Cod Canal. From that point to Provincetown is 63 miles. So how is it that the exit formally known as exit 9 in Dennis is now exit 78? While the exit numbers have changed, all the great things that you love about Cape Cod have not. For a complete list of the new exit numbers visit https://WhatsmyCapeCodexit.com.
